Jose Leopoldo Romero, Jr. joined Fenway’s Board of Directors in 2008. Leo, as he is known to his friends, is an entrepreneur who has opened 7 different restaurants in Boston and Vermont and has been recognized by both the city of Boston and state of Massachusetts for his contribution to promoting Latin culture and community. He is a former United States Army and Foreign Service Officer, as well as a Lecturer in Spanish at Tufts University. He has written text books for bilingual education and the teacher’s guide for their use. Leo served for 11 years on the Board of Boston Senior Home Care and currently serves on the Boards of the Fenway Garden Society, Ramler Park and the Association of Mexican Restaurants in New England.
