Matt Fein joined Fenway Health’s Behavioral Health department in 2020 as an outpatient psychotherapist. He holds a BA from Hampshire College and a dual Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and Theology and Ministry (MATM) from Boston College. His experience includes working with persons without housing, substance and alcohol use, outpatient psychotherapy, medical social work in emergency/trauma and intensive care settings, and inpatient psychiatric care.
Matt’s clinical interests include serving persons in the LGBTQIA+ community utilizing a trauma responsive, person centered, strengths based, solution focused, harm reduction approach, by creating safe therapeutic spaces, offering frameworks of compassionate self-understanding, and finding meaning and purpose in living. Matt provides psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR approaches in his practice.
