Melissa joined Fenway in 2011 and earned a Master of Social Work from University of New England and her B.A. from University of Southern Maine. Her clinical interests include behavioral health; trauma recovery; sexual orientation and gender identity; LGBTQ health; living with chronic illness; substance use/addiction prevention and treatment; general psychotherapy; cognitive behavioral therapy; group therapy; solution focused therapy; mindfulness. Melissa completed clinical training as a graduate intern at The Recovery Center, Mercy Hospital, Westbrook, ME, 2004-2005 and Refugee and Immigration Services, Catholic Charities, Portland, ME, 2003-2004. She worked as a therapist at The Recovery Center and Tri County Mental Health Services in Maine before coming to Boston to work as a therapist at the Triangle Program. Melissa was the Director of the Triangle Program for 5 years prior to starting at Fenway as an Addiction Specialist.
