Christa (she/her) joined the Behavioral Health Department as a Staff Therapist in 2022. Christa holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College, a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College. She especially enjoys working with LGBTQ+ individuals facing challenges related to mood, anxiety, and/or substance use disorders.
Christa takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, honoring her clients’ unique identities, values, and skills. She primarily uses Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates aspects of Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy into her work.
Christa’s hobbies include playing board games, cooking and baking, and exploring new areas on foot.
