Fenway Health Inducted Into Boston Gay Basketball League Hall of Fame

Fenway Health was inducted into the Boston Gay Basketball League’s Hall of Fame at a recent ceremony. Recognized for their long-time support of the league, Fenway became just the third organization to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame, which now includes 36 members. Fenway’s Vice President of Communications and a former player in the BGBL Phil Finch attended the ceremony to represent Fenway.

Joining Fenway in the Hall this year include former and current players Joe Antoun, Terrence Powers, Gary Staples and Larry White. A league member (player, coach, sponsor, official or volunteer) is eligible for nomination with a minimum of seven years in the league; nominees must receive two-thirds affirmative votes from the Hall of Fame to be inducted. The BGBL was founded by Buck Bachman in 1994, who served as the league’s initial commissioner.
