Welcome to Fenway Health’s Massage Department

Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body such as muscles as well as connective tissue for the purpose of normalizing those tissues. It consists of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement or assisted movement of the body. Ice or heat may be applied to specific muscles.

Massage has been shown to increase range of motion and flexibility. It can increase feelings of wellness, calm, relaxation, and a sense of belonging as well as increasing an awareness of the mind-body connection. Our massage therapist is trained in several types of massage, and would be happy to discuss any questions clients may have prior to booking an appointment.
