Flu season is coming! The best way to reduce your risk from seasonal flu and its potentially serious complications is to get vaccinated yearly. September and October are good months to be vaccinated!
Vaccines are an important step you can take for yourself or your children for protection against serious illnesses. At Fenway Health, we want you to be empowered to take the steps you need in order to be healthy during the cold and flu season
Eligibility
All persons aged 6 months and older who do not have contraindications are recommended to receive the seasonal flu vaccine. Please visit the CDC for more information.
- High Dose Flu Vaccine is recommended for all people ages 65 and older.

Eligibility
CDC recommends everyone aged 5 years and older receive a single dose of the updated 2023 – 2024 Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
- This should be given at least two months after the last dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
- People who are moderate to severely immunocompromised may require an additional dose.
- Children aged 6 months-4 years who received COVID-19 vaccines before September 12, 2023 should get one or two doses of the updated COVID-19 vaccines

We currently have updated Moderna COVID vaccines for all patients 6 months and older at 1340 Boylston Street and 142 Berkeley Street.

Eligibility
- Adults 60+ may receive a single dose of RSV vaccine based on shared clinical decision making with a healthcare provider. Please refer to the CDC website for eligibility information and reach out to your primary care team to discuss further.
- The CDC recommends seasonal administration of one dose of RSV vaccine for pregnant people during weeks 32-36 of pregnancy to help protect the baby for up to 6 months after birth.
- Immunization options for infants in first two years of life per CDC:
- The CDC recommends children younger than 8 months and children ages 8 to 19 months at higher risk for severe RSV receive one RSV antibody immunization called nirsevimab (Beyfortus)
- The CDC recommends that children born before 35 weeks and younger than six months and children with chronic heart and lung disease younger than 2 years discuss an RSV antibody immunization, palivizumab (Synagis), which is given monthly during the flu and cold season

We currently have RSV vaccines for pregnant patients and patients 60 years and older:
- RSV vax (60 yrs and up) available at both Fenway Health locations
- RSV vax for pregnant patients available at 1340 Boylston Street only
We do not yet have a delivery date for doses of the pediatric RSV vaccine immunization. We will update our website and social media pages when we are ready to schedule appointments.
