Fenway Health to Hold Virtual 50th Anniversary Gala

BOSTON, MA – Fenway Health, a Boston-based community health center, marks 50 years of service this year. Founded in 1971 as part of the free clinic movement, Fenway Health works to make life healthier for the LGBTQIA+ community, people living with HIV/AIDS, and residents of local neighborhoods.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Fenway Health is holding the Fenway@50 Virtual Gala on April 28th at 6 PM.

While COVID-19 prevents an in-person celebration, Fenway Health has put together a fantastic virtual gathering that has something for everyone. The Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening will be the fabulous Nina West of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame. Dr. Anthony S. Fauci – a public health hero who needs no introduction – will appear to offer his reflections from the early days of the AIDS epidemic to the COVID-19 challenges of today.

This special night will showcase performers both local and global. Attendees will enjoy the vocal styling of Boston transplant Neo Gcabo – streaming from her native South Africa – and Mel Fine will sing from the heart, in the heart of Boston.

Fenway’s very own The FChords a cappella group will showcase some homegrown talents. And to keep the celebration going all year, local legend DJ Mocha has created a Spotify playlist in honor of Fenway’s 50th.

The evening will also include an exciting virtual auction featuring fine art, dining experiences, self-care gifts, and much more. All proceeds will support the lifesaving programs and services of Fenway Health.

The Fenway@50 Virtual Gala will be a truly special evening to honor the past and look toward the future, together. Fenway Health invites all to this celebration 50 years in the making.

Attendance is free, but registration is required. Please RSVP by registering today.
