HRSA Awards $1.9 Million To The National LGBT Health Education Center

We are pleased to announce that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Bureau of Primary Health Care has awarded the National LGBT Health Education Center at The Fenway Institute a funding renewal of $1.9 million through 2023.

In addition to this award, HRSA will fund an additional COVID-19 supplement starting this summer. This supplement will be used by the National LGBT Health Education Center to provide training and technical assistance across the US health center program for serving LGBTQIA+ patients during the pandemic.

‘We are honored to continue providing national training and technical assistance in partnership with HRSA’s Bureau of Primary Health Care, focused on improving care for LGBTQIA+ communities at 1,400 federally qualified health centers,” said Alex Keuroghlian, MD, MPH, Director of Education and Training Programs at The Fenway Institute. “This work is more important now than ever.”
