Reebok Introduces ‘Pride Collection’ in Honor of Pride Month; Portion of Proceeds Benefit Fenway Health

BOSTON – MAY 15, 2019 — In honor of Pride Month this June, Reebok introduces its limited edition ‘Pride Collection’, bringing vibrant updates to the iconic Club C, Classic Leather and Freestyle Hi. A portion of the proceeds from the collection will be donated to Fenway Health to support their ongoing mission of enhancing the wellbeing of the LGBT community, and all people, through access to the highest quality health care, education, research and advocacy.

Known for transcending generations, genres and subcultures, Reebok Classic has always celebrated a democratic heritage and inclusivity, continually pushing boundaries and redefining norms. As a result, each ‘Pride Collection’ style showcases a rainbow-colored Pride flag, replacing the Reebok flag, as well as rainbow thread stitching throughout, signifying the diversity of the LGBT community.

“Since the beginning, Reebok has had a lifelong mission to transform the lives of others through fitness and wellness,” said Matt Blonder, VP of Digital Brand Commerce at Reebok and Co-Chair of the brand’s Colorful Soles LGBTQ+ employee resource group. “Inclusivity has been an intrinsic part of building our foundation, so working alongside a health center like Fenway Health felt like such a natural fit. We pride ourselves in working with those who share these same bold and inclusive values.”

Since 1971, Fenway Health has been dedicated to making life healthier for people around the nation, specifically supporting the LGBT community, people living with HIV/AIDS and the broader population. Fenway Health provides high quality, comprehensive health care and quality tools to help educate the individuals they care for. Based in Boston but nationally recognized, Fenway Health and Reebok share not only a hometown, but also a common focus on improving the overall well-being of individuals nationwide.

“We are thrilled that Reebok chose us to be part of this exciting initiative in celebration of this year’s Pride month,” said Jane Powers, Acting CEO of Fenway Health. “The month of June, and especially this year’s 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall uprising, is a time for us to come together to recognize LGBT people and their impact across the world. So, it is with pride that we are partnering with an inclusive, innovative and global brand like Reebok to help mark this year’s occasion.”
