Forthcoming Organizational Changes to Move Fenway Forward

Fenway Health is pleased to announce several forthcoming organizational changes, with the aim of moving the organization and our culture forward.  These changes come as a result of a comprehensive analysis of our organizational structure, which was recently completed at the request of the Board of Directors, and will be enacted in the near future to help ensure Fenway Health maintains contemporary practices:

  • Most immediately, Fenway Health will add a Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to the organization’s senior management team.

Following feedback from our assessment and employees, we understand that a senior level human resource executive is vital to moving our cultural agenda forward. We will be engaging the services of a search company to lead us through the candidate search and selection process, and will likely fill this role prior to the hiring of a permanent CEO. Consideration will be given to both external and internal candidates who may choose to apply.

  • Once selected, the CHRO will be encouraged to immediately commence the search for a Diversity Officer.

While the full scope of this role and its responsibilities are still being defined, we understand the importance of this focus to the future of Fenway, and to helping Fenway maintain our commitment to our vibrant, diverse community. The search for a Diversity Officer, a new position at Fenway, will commence immediately following the hire of the new CHRO.

  • Fenway Health’s corporate compliance will now be a discrete job function reporting directly to the CEO.

The function will be temporarily overseen by Jane Powers, Interim Chief of Staff, and will have a direct relationship to the board of directors. However, a permanent reporting structure is still being determined.

  • Restructuring of reporting relationships will help ensure alignment of clinical care as well as fulfillment of all regulatory requirements.

Three clinical leaders will now have a matrix reporting relationship with our Medical Director, for clinical services. Those roles include Director of Dentistry; Director of Optometry; and Director of Pharmacy.  These individuals and their retail businesses will continue to report operationally to theVice President of Finance and Administration.

With the above changes, and the many changes still to come, we are actively working to move Fenway Health forward. As always, thank you to all our community members for your continued support!
