Support Our 2019 Boston Marathon Runners

Fenway Health is excited to have three 2019 Boston Marathon Team Fenway runners: Corbin Petro, Edward Boudrot, and Samantha Bellissimo. This year, John Hancock’s Non-Profit Partner Program generously donated three bibs for our runners – our most yet!

Why are these fabulous folks running for Fenway? Let’s hear it from them:

I’m so honored to be running the Boston Marathon on behalf of Fenway Health, where I serve as Co-Chair of the Board of Visitors. I was introduced to Fenway Health through their social events about ten years ago. When my wife and I decided to try to have children, we discovered Fenway’s Alternative Insemination program, which we used to conceive our two sons. We feel very blessed to have two healthy boys, and that we found and had access to such an inclusive program.Corbin Petro

Boston is an amazing city, the best schools in the in the world, the best sports teams and the best healthcare system. Fenway Health is committed to serving others by providing high quality, comprehensive health care, research, education and advocacy. I am committed to raising funds for Fenway Health and their mission to serve others in the Boston community. I could not think of a better way than to run the Boston marathon and give back. My goal is to raise 10K for Fenway Health; I welcome you to please contribute to this great cause! – Edward Boudrot

Anyone who knows me can attest to how passionate I am about both the LGBTQIA+ community and healthcare, so to work with Fenway at the intersection of these two is an absolute honor. Fenway Health diagnosed New England’s first case of AIDS in 1981 and has been on the forefront of Boston’s medical scene ever since, working to ensure that the LGBTQIA+ community and other minorities have the same access to healthcare as everyone else. Our society has made many progressive strides since Fenway Health was founded in 1971, but recent legislation has proved that we are far from a perfect world. Come support me in my 26.2 mile run to support Fenway Health. –Samantha Bellissimo

Our Marathon runners have raised over $100,000 for Fenway Health over the last four years. This year’s runners have pledged to raise a minimum of $7,500 each for Fenway Health, but they can’t do it alone. With your help, they can not only meet, but exceed these fundraising goals!
