We’re excited to now offer all Fenway Health and AIDS Action Committee employees the option of including pronouns in their email signatures. Using people’s correct pronouns helps ensure an inclusive culture where all voices are heard and the many identities that make up our vibrant community are respected.
“The open presentation of staff pronouns raises awareness in all our communications and may help challenge assumptions about a gender binary and reduce the incidence of misgendering others,” said Philip Finch, VP of Communications. “By enabling visibility of pronouns, our email recipients may be encouraged to think and talk about gender and pronouns in a more sensitive and informed way. Adding pronouns to our email signatures is another step along the pathway to creating a more equitable, inclusive and accessible work environment and supports our commitment to a more safe and accepting society and healthcare system for all people.”
