As we begin 2019, the Board of Directors of Fenway Health remains committed to identifying the right Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of the nation’s prominent LGBTQ health care organizations.
While the Board reviewed a number of qualified applicants throughout 2018, we have not yet identified the right candidate who will provide leadership to the executive team and staff on financial and operational issues, program development, staff engagement and who will work with us on formulating the strategic vision for Fenway Health in the coming years.
We had a number of new members join our Board of Directors at the start of this fiscal year and to capture some of these voices in the CEO search, we are reconstituting our approach to the hiring process and convening a new CEO search committee. The members of this reconstituted search committee will be named shortly. The Board is grateful for the hard work of the original search committee and recognizes their important contributions to the process so far.
Jane Powers, MSW, LICSW, will continue in her role as acting CEO and has the full support of the Board of Directors. Jane and the entire Fenway leadership team are well poised to continue to move Fenway forward while the search for a permanent CEO continues.
