Mark is the Chief of Staff and General Counsel at the Massachusetts Division of Standards, one of the agencies that comprise the Commonwealth’s Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.
He began his career in the Health Care Practice of the Boston-based law firm, Mintz, Levin. Mark then served as chief of staff for three committees of the Massachusetts Legislature, working initially with the Joint Committee on Human Services and Elder Affairs. There, he worked successfully to restore MassHealth coverage to legal immigrants and to broaden coverage for optional services for all beneficiaries.
Mark has been a patient at Fenway Health for more than thirty years and has contributed as a volunteer activist to a range of LGBTQ political and charitable organizations.
A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College, Mark holds a JD from New York University School of Law and an MA in Applied Economics from UMass Boston.
