Fenway Health will be shutting down at 5 PM on December 24 and December 31 and will be closed on December 25 and January 1 for Christmas and New Year’s.

Carl Sciortino Named Fenway Health VP of Government Relations

We are excited to announce that Carl Sciortino is Fenway Health’s new Vice President of Government Relations. After four years of incredible leadership as AIDS Action Committee Executive Director, Carl will now bring his experience and dedication to this critical role in our organization.

Carl is a perfect fit for Government Relations, with over a decade of experience working in the political sphere. A former state representative, he represented the 34th Middlesex district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 2005 to 2014. Carl has worked tirelessly throughout his career to champion the rights of people living with HIV and the LGBT community, and has been involved in the passing of critical HIV care legislation in Massachusetts.

In his new role, Carl will build upon ongoing work on HIV policy, such as the Getting to Zero Coalition and legislative advocacy. He will also focus on building community and government support for LGBT health, community health centers, and issues of importance to the broader Fenway mission.

Michelle Bordeu, who has been leading AIDS Action’s programs and services for the last four years, will be taking a greater leadership role at AIDS Action. Michelle has decades of experience leading public health and HIV programs, and she and Carl have worked closely for the past four years to modernize and run the prevention and support services of AIDS Action.
