We are excited to announce that The Fenway Institute’s Division of Education and Training was recently named the winner of the 9th Annual LGBT Health Workforce Organization Leadership Award. This award from Building The Next Generation of Academic Physicians (BNGAP), in conjunction with their annual LGBT Health Workforce Conference, acknowledges entities that have led in the development of a health workforce responsive to the needs of LGBT communities.
Nominees were judged on a range of criteria, including evaluation of activities that demonstrate significant benefits towards building the LGBT Health Workforce; activities developed in response to the unique health issues and disparities of the LGBT community; evidence of inter-professional work; evidence of the inclusion of women, underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities, and LGBT individuals; innovativeness; and evidence of research, education, clinical and service related to building the LGBT Health Workforce.
