Fenway Health Mourns with Haiti

Fenway Health mourns with the Fenway Health community, residents of Boston, and others around the globe following the death of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse who was assassinated at his private residence on Wednesday, July 7. Moïse’s wife, Martine Marie Étienne Moïse, was seriously wounded in the attack.

“Among Boston’s many strengths as a city is its community of Haitian immigrants and expatriates who contribute to and influence our healthcare, cultural, educational, and political institutions,” said Fenway Health CEO Ellen LaPointe. “Many Fenway Health staff and patients belong to this community, and are deeply concerned about the safety of their family and friends in Haiti. We join with others in the city and around the globe in calling for stability, peace, recognition of human rights, and public health and safety in Haiti.”
