Fenway Health is excited to announce that Frank Fleming, LICSW, LADC1, and Monique Willett, LICSW, have been named Co-Executive Directors of our Behavioral Health department. Fleming and Willet have been working together as Co-Interim Directors of Behavioral Health since the beginning of this year, expertly leading the department through changes and challenges. We are pleased that they will now be able to continue this important work on a permanent basis.
Fleming specialized his graduate training in substance use treatment and has been working in substance use treatment programs since 1997. He has experience working in youth development and school-based substance abuse prevention programs, homeless shelters, HIV prevention programs and as a behavioral health outpatient provider. He began working for Fenway Health in 2001, initially as Manager of HIV Prevention Education and later as Manager of Medical Social Work and Substance Abuse Services. He oversees the implementation of behavioral health services into the primary care environment, and supervises the medical case management team, the team of integrated therapists and the substance use treatment program.
Willet has a strong medical background of knowledge which is useful when individuals have co-occurring medical challenges that may impact their mental health as well. Additionally, she is experienced in medical social work including intensive care, oncology, emergency medicine, in addition to behavioral health. Additionally, Willet has experience working with substance use, and brief and solution-focused therapy. She is well-versed in crisis work, chronic mental illness, and couples work. Her practice is solution-focused and action-oriented in order to help individuals develop the tools they need to graduate from therapy and get to the business of living their best life.
Please join us in congratulating our new Co-Executive Directors of Behavioral Health!
