Fenway Health VRP’s Farid Shakur To Receive Advocate of the Year Award

We are excited to announce that Farid Shakur, Fenway Health Violence Recovery Program Outreach Worker and Advocate, has been named recipient of the Advocate of the Year Award, as awarded by the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance and the Victim Witness Assistance Board.

This award recognizes a community leader who has made notable contributions to advancing victim rights and services and making a difference in the lives of victims and survivors in Massachusetts.

The annual Victim Rights Awards recognize individuals for their notable contributions to victim rights and services in Massachusetts. The 2022 Victim Rights Awards will be presented virtually through a social media campaign dedicated to the award recipients and their accomplishments in April, which is Victim Rights Month. Follow @massmova on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to join in commemorating this year’s award recipients.

Please join us in congratulating Fari for this well-earned recognition!
