Fenway Health will be shutting down at 5 PM on December 24 and December 31 and will be closed on December 25 and January 1 for Christmas and New Year’s.

Fenway Health Welcomes New Medical Providers

At Fenway Health, we are constantly working to improve patient care and the patient experience. As part of our continuing efforts to provide the best care, we welcomed several new members to the Fenway Health family, including five new medical providers during September and October. Please join us in welcoming Nurse Practitioner Sophia Axtman, Dr. Noelle Bates, Dr. Taimur Khan, Dr. Julia Fleming, and Dr. Supraja Rajagopalan (OB-GYN). Physicians who are accepting new patients are noted below.

Julia Fleming, MD

Dr. Fleming joined Fenway’s primary care team at 1340 Boylston in 2019. Prior to joining the Fenway family, Julia completed an Infectious Diseases fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2019. She is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in Internal Medicine/Primary Care at Montefiore Medical Center. Julia is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has particular interest in the treatment of substance use disorders, Hepatitis C (HCV), and HIV. Her hobbies include reading, biking, playing the guitar, and spending time outdoors. She speaks English and Spanish. Dr. Fleming is accepting new patients.

Taimur Khan, MD

Dr. Khan recently joined Fenway’s primary care and infectious diseases team at 1340 Boylston. He received both his Master’s in Public Health and his MD from Tulane University. Taimur completed his residency in Internal Medicine followed by a chief residency in 2017. Prior to joining us at Fenway Health, Dr. Khan completed an Infectious Diseases fellowship at Boston Medical Center. He currently splits his time in the clinic with The Fenway Institute where he is part of the BioMedical Team—investigating novel ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent sexually transmitted diseases. Taimur is an avid drawer/artist with a degree in studio arts and is also a theater enthusiast. He speaks English and Urdu/Hindi. Dr. Khan is accepting new patients.

Rebecca Noelle Bates, MD

Dr. Bates recently joined the Family Medicine team at our 1340 Boylston Street location. Noelle come to us from the Mississippi AIDS education training center where she provided clinicians and health care professionals the opportunity to build knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide high quality HIV care services for all. She holds her MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine where she graduated in 2015. Dr. Bates is accepting all new patients.

Supraja Rajagopalan, MD

Dr. Rajagopalan joins the medical team at our 1340 Boylston Street location. Supraja completed her residency in OB-GYN at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2019. Additionally, she holds her MD from Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated in 2015. Dr. Rajagopalan is accepting new OB-GYN patients.

Sophia Axtman, NP

We are pleased to welcome back Sophia Axtman to the Fenway Health team. Sophia received her Nurse Practitioner degree from the Yale University School of Nursing in 2019. We say, “welcome back” because she was a former medical student at Fenway Health in August 2017, where she completed her Family Nurse Practitioner APRN clinical rotations. Sophia will be working at our 1340 Boylston Street location and is part of Dr. Elizabeth Kass’ team. Sophia is not accepting new patients at this time.
