Fenway Health is excited to announce that Pamela Adelstein, MD, has joined us as our new Director of Family Medicine. Dr. Adelstein comes to us from Codman Square Health Center, where she served the Dorchester community for over 17 years.
Dr. Adelstein is a Family Practice Board certified physician who blends her experience practicing mind body medicine and acupuncture with her Western medicine training to care for the whole person and their family.
“I’m excited to be at Fenway to help bring families of all configurations and children of all genders to get excellent health care with our passionate and dedicated team,” she said.
Prior to joining Fenway, Dr. Adelstein served as Codman’s Family Medicine Medical Director since 2018. In addition to that leadership role, she was a Staff Physician, providing full-spectrum family medicine for largely state-insured people, mostly people of color, Spanish-speaking immigrants. She was also an Integrative Medicine Provider Champion.
Outside of her work in community health, Dr. Adelstein is a Health Care Consultant at Camp Kaleidoscope in Newton, MA.
In her free time, Dr. Adelstein enjoys spending time with her husband and two college age children, spending time in nature hiking, kayaking, and biking, and practicing yoga, and reading novels. She speaks Spanish and conversational French and Portuguese.
