Dr. Alex S. Keuroghlian, Director of The Fenway Institute’s Division of Education and Training, spent two weeks in May representing Fenway Health with the Health Resources and Services Administration-President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (HRSA-PEPFAR) in a new global skills sharing project.
He worked in conjunction with HRSA-PEPFAR staff, the U.S. Embassy in Kampala, the Ugandan Ministry of Health, and a small group of U.S. HIV providers to conduct needs assessments and technical assistance for building capacity within Uganda’s public healthcare system to meet national public health needs related to HIV. This innovative global skills sharing project will continue with distance learning and technical assistance, as well as future on-site capacity-building efforts in Uganda.
Thank you for representing Fenway at this important initiative, Alex!
