Massachusetts Health Connector Open Enrollment is available from November 1, 2018 through January 23, 2019. Open Enrollment is the time to enroll, renew, or change your health and dental insurance plans for 2019. Please visit the Massachusetts Health Connector website to get started.
Here are some important Open Enrollment dates and deadlines to remember:
November 1, 2018
First date to start shopping for 2019 plans.
December 23, 2018
Due date for your January 2019 monthly premium payment (if you have a premium). It’s important to pay this bill on time to stay enrolled. You’ll also need to change plans by this date if you want to enroll in a different plan for January 1.
January 1, 2019
The first day of your new 2019 coverage. If there have been any changes to the plans you qualify for, January 1 is the date when those changes will start.
January 23, 2019
This the last day of Open Enrollment. You have until this date to change the plan you are enrolled in without a qualifying event.
If you are enrolling in new health insurance, here is a helpful guide to the steps you’ll need to take.
If you plan to renew or change your current insurance plan, you’ll need to review your 2019 eligibility and plan availability. In general, if you keep paying your monthly premiums, you can renew for 2019 into your current plan, if it is available in 2019, or a similar plan from the same insurance carrier, if your current plan is not available for 2019.
Remember: Open Enrollment for Massachusetts ends January 23!
