As part of our ongoing commitment to expanding the breadth of our services, we’ve recently installed a new GE Voulson P8 ultrasound machine at our 1340 Boylston St. offices. The Fenway Health obstetrics (OB) team will be trained on this new machine in early September, after which it will be ready for patient use.
The new machine will be a great convenience for Fenway Health OB patients, who will no longer need to visit our sister hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, to receive all of their ultrasounds.
“[Getting this machine] has long been a goal of ours, and we hope that we will see a growth in our [OB] program because of it,” said Rory Tito, Family Health Coordinator. “We are also hoping it will improve some in-office procedures, such as ultrasound guided IUD insertions.”
