New Webinar Series Brings LGBTQIA+ Inclusive Sexual Health Education to MA Communities

In 2019, 82% of high school students in MA reported they did not learn about LGBTQIA+ sexual health in their school classes. 6.9% of high school students experienced physical dating violence in the past year- and this number rises to 17.7% for lesbian, gay, and bisexual identifying youth. It’s clear that across the Commonwealth, young people are not being given the tools they need to make informed choices about their health and their relationships. A new webinar series from AIDS Action and Getting to Zero MA aims to change that.

The People’s Sex Ed is a webinar series that explores a variety of topics around sexual health, with a focus on youth and marginalized communities.

In addition to learning about LGBTQIA+ identities or topics such as safer sex and self-pleasure, these webinars are medically accurate and provide information to participants on how to engage their legislators on sexual health issues. Each webinar will:

  • be free and hosted via Zoom
  • have ASL interpreters and auto live transcription
  • have a giveaway for (3) $25 Amazon gift cards (one winner per gift card; requires completion of an evaluation within 10 days of attending the webinar)
  • offer a Certificate of Attendance as requested (requests for certificates can be made by completing webinar evaluations)

You can view our webinar schedule here and register for a webinar here. Please note that each webinar has its own Zoom registration link. You do not need to attend all webinars, but you do need to register for the webinars that you wish to attend. Please email Alyvia at anorris@fenwayhealth.org with any questions.
