Kim Lawrence is the Lead Psychotherapist at Fenway’s South End office. Kim has been a psychotherapist at AIDS Action Committee and Fenway Health since 2013. Kim achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina Honors College, a Master in Education degree from Boston University and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Kim has also completed the Certificate Program in Trauma Treatment at the Boston University School of Social Work.
Kim’s clinical interests include trauma recovery, cPTSD, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, chronic pain management, and LGBTQ-specific mental health. Kim’s treatment approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Kim tailors her interventions using a holistic, client-centered, strengths-based approach.
As the Lead Psychotherapist, Kim provides mentorship, coaching, training and supervision for Behavioral Health staff. Kim also provides group clinical supervision for the Medical Case Management staff.
