HIV Vaccine Studies: HVTN 120/124

In continuation of Fenway Health’s decades-long commitment to treating and preventing HIV/AIDS, Fenway Health is a site for research on several HIV Vaccines, including HVTN 120 and 124.

HVTN 120 and 124 will examine both tolerability and the immune system’s response to a new HIV vaccine. This vaccine is made using laboratory pieces of HIV and it is impossible for the vaccine to give someone HIV.

  • Eligible participants for HVTN 120 are between the ages of 18-40, healthy, HIV-uninfected, and will be in Boston for the next 18 months. Participation for this study includes 12 visits over the course of about 18 months. Volunteers will receive $1200 for their time.
  • Eligible participants for HVTN 124 are between the ages of 18-50, healthy, HIV-uninfected, and will be in Boston for the next 14 months. Participation for this study includes up to 14 visits over the course of 14 months. Volunteers will receive up to $1475 their time.
