The CEO Search Committee is pleased to report that we are on schedule and making progress in our search for a permanent Chief Executive Officer for Fenway Health.
This summer, representatives from the executive search firm Spencer Stuart:
- conducted environmental and stakeholder interviews;
- spoke about the search process at an all-staff meeting;
- met with the full Board of Directors;
- produced a CEO position specification that seeks candidates with the knowledge, skills, characteristics, and experience described in the engagement process; and
- commenced national recruitment and outreach to prospective candidates and sources of candidate referrals.
The co-chairs of the Search Committee speak regularly with the search firm to discuss the evolving list of potential candidates. We are encouraged to hear about both widespread interest in the position and the outstanding reputation of Fenway Health across the country.
In early September, the Search Committee will review a preliminary list of interested candidates and will narrow that list to an initial group of interviews this fall. The committee’s goal is to present to the Board of Directors at least two finalists for the position. We remain hopeful that the Board will announce a new CEO before the end of 2019, but we recognize that a process of this scope may take longer than expected. We will continue to keep Fenway Health staff and other stakeholders informed about our progress, while respecting the confidentiality of all applicants.
